Nfinit Vision

Nfinit’s ethos centers the nurturing of artist process through the practice of love, care and community. As a result of the challenging circumstances in which we find ourselves in the world today as artists and creatives of color, sustainability in a practical sense is key, however so are philosophical perspectives; what does it mean to be an artist of color today? How do we view arts juxtaposition with responsibility, as it relates to societal impact and our individual art practices? With respect to what it means to “be” an artist of color, inclusive of the extending societal “othering” in which we may find ourselves, what are the implications of internal and external space? Ultimately we want to inspire holding space for each other through the praxis of art as care.

BIO

I understand the “starving artists/talented innovator” phenomena first hand as I too am creative. I am a writer, poet, songwriter (ASCAP) in collaboration with recording artist “Punky Blu”, short film and independent recording artist video director/producer, an award winning Broadway Actress of the Pulitzer Prize winning play “The Kentucky Cycle” which also had a run at Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. I also enjoyed performing “Off Broadway” as a member of Circle Rep, matriculation at Cornish College of the Arts and earned a BS and a MA Media Studies at The New School in NYC, also serve as Chief Creative Content Curator @ Nfinit while pursuing a Ph.D at IDSVA, Institute for Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts.

Nfinit now located in my home, a refuge for creatives to live, work, and play within an informal setting where I offer nurturing and shelter for the artist in a pre-launch stage. I’ve opened my doors for many years to give creative innovators a place to live, develop their ideas and get on their feet in preparation to enter the marketplace. The next level of business development is needed for these innovators of Nfinit. We need a place where world changing innovation and ideas can be nurtured in an informal and formal setting by world class mentors, thought leaders in business and the industry.
