NFINIT FOUNDATION ARTIST RESIDENCY

NFAR MISSION.png

Nfinit Foundation Arts is committed to the support, development and sustainability of artists. The Nfinit Foundation Artist Residency (NFAR) supports and assists the Artists-In-Residence to facilitate their development of new work. Our focus is on artists of the Diaspora, POC, LGBTQ+ inclusive, at least 18 years of age, who are presently engaged in an artistic practice. This residency is limited to artists who reside in the five boroughs of New York City. Artists who are currently in contract with any arts gallery are ineligible.

The residency is an opportunity for artists to have deeper engagement with their practices as they work collaboratively with us in support of their process. The residency period includes an open studios & artist talk event, and a culminating exhibition of the work developed in residency.

We are offering artist residencies at Spaceworks Gowanus in Brooklyn for a 5-month cycle, and will select 2 artists to receive subsidized studio space with 24-hour access. Each studio is approximately 125-150 square feet in size, and can accommodate the practices of visual artists, sculptors and musicians, with limited space for movement practices. There is no darkroom or audio/sound equipment provided. For more information about Spaceworks Gowanus and studios, visit https://spaceworksnyc.org/product/gowanus-art/.

Applications for the residency period of January 1 - May 31, 2020 are now closed.
